About the 2008 Celebration

A packed schedule of concerts, food, contests and fun – and of course a parade and fireworks – is on tap for the 2008 Boone County Fourth of July celebration. The more than half-century tradition kicks off on Saturday, June 14th with the Mrs. Boone Contest and culminates with the end of the carnival and a dinner and concert on July 5. All events – except for organizational dinners and the carnival – cost nothing for the public to attend. The Boone County Fourth of July Committee – an all-volunteer group of residents who coordinate the event – sponsors the events. More about the Boone County Fourth of July Celebration...

Almost Anything Goes Contest

Area businesses, clubs, organizations and individuals are encouraged to sponsor teams for this often zany event which has become an anchor event for the week-long Independence Day Celebration in Lebanon. Entries should be submitted early as only ten teams will be selected for each evening's competition. These teams will be selected by a random drawing to be held on June 4th, 2008.
