2008 Mrs. Boone County

The Boone County July 4th Mrs. Boone County Committee would like to announce plans for the 2008 Mrs. Boone County. This year will be the 50th contest, which began with the crowning of Ann Graham in 1959.

It's that time of the year again; time to think about pageants, parades and fireworks. Of course all of this surrounds the Fourth of July. The Boone County Fourth of July Committee has been busy planning the 2008 festivities that begins with the contest that has been honoring Boone County women for 50 years.

We want to continue to support this very special tradition by asking for sponsorship of Boone County Women. The 2008 July 4th Committee has asked that all events be self supporting, so to do this we are asking that a $20 entry fee for each participant be submitted along with each contestant that is sponsored. Checks submitted by the sponsoring organization should be made out to Boone County Fourth of July Committee. Remember each sponsor can submit more than one woman they feel would qualify for the title of Mrs. Boone County. Sponsoring organizations can be businesses, churches, sorority, or personal sponsorship.

The pageant is scheduled for June 14, 2008 at 7:30 pm at the Boone County 4-H Pavilion.

GUIDELINES:

• Sponsoring Organizations may enter as many contestants as they wish with a $20 entry fee per contestant.
• Contestant must be between 30 and 60 years of age.
• A contestant must be a resident of Boone County for at least five (5) years.
• Contestant DOES NOT have to be a member of the sponsoring organization.

MRS. BOONE COUNTY WILL BE SELECTED BASED ON:

• Responses to the Official Boone County Resume, which includes questions about community services, hobbies, and family life.
• Results of a personal interview with the judges prior to the night of pageant
• Poise and Personality shown on stage during the pageant
• Responses to Pageant questions.

The official 2008 Mrs. Boone County Entry Form (PDF 80K) and $20. (Check made payable to the Boone County 4th of July Committee) must be returned by May 1, 2008 to the following:
