  • Boone County 4th of July Celebration - A packed schedule of concerts, food, contests and fun – and of course a parade and fireworks – is on tap for the 2008 Boone County Fourth of July celebration. The more than half-century tradition kicks off on Saturday, June 14th with the Mrs. Boone Contest and culminates with the end of the carnival and a dinner and concert on July 5.
  • Communities of the Zionsville Area for Better Government - Eagle Union Zionsville Reorganization Committee information.
  • GED Classes are held at Lebanon High School (Room I-20) from 6-8:30 pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. Classes are ongoing throughout the school year with new intake testing the first Monday of each month. For more information, visit the Boone County Learning Network website.
  • Shalom Free Lunch - Every Saturday for everyone from 11am-1pm at Shalom House (304 W. Green Street, Lebanon). Everyone welcome!

* Through July 5, 2008 - Boone County 4th of July Celebration Activities

* Wednesday, June 25, 2008 - Friends of Boone County Trails Public Meeting at 6:30 pm at the REMC Community Room (1207 Indianapolis Ave., Lebanon). Melody Sweat, with the Indiana Deptartment of Natural Resources will be speaking on the state's allocation of $19 million towards trail projects in Indiana. Also, we'll be discussing the $700,000 Grant awarded to the Friends of Boone County Trails for acquiring land for the Farm Heritage Trail. Bring a friend and join us to hear all the "Good News" about trails in Boone County.

* Friday, June 27, 2008 - Summer Brick Street Gallery Walk from 6-10pm on the Brick Street (Main Street) in Zionsville. Sponsored by the Zionsville Arts Initiative.

* Saturday, June 28, 2008 - Community Day at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds from 8 am to noon. Leave your handprint on the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds! Join 4-H families, businesses & community groups to help with landscaping, painting & beautifying before the fair! Call 765.482.0750 to register you, your family, your co-workers or your group.

* Sunday, June 29, 2008 - In concert, North Carolina-born singer/songwriter Warren Barfield at New Hope Christian Church (5780 S. 650 East, Whitestown, IN) at 6 pm. Warren is gracefully human as a person and an artist and has just released his 3rd CD. This is a free event for the community with a "love offering" taken during the concert.

* Friday, July 4, 2008 (rain date July 5, 2008) - Fourth of July Celebration at Lions Park in Zionsville from 5pm to dusk. Kids corner and food court open at 5pm. Music begins at 6pm. * Saturday, July 12, 2008 - Motorcycle Ride, Food, Music, Friends! Andy’s Ride at the American Legion Post 79 in Zionsville, Indiana, with proceeds to benefit the Andy Buckmaster Memorial Trade School Scholarship. First bike out 10:00 am - Last bike out 12:00 noon. Ride will be approximately 85 miles. Rider $15, passenger $5 extra. Bluegrass music by Diamond Hill Station. Home-cooked meal after ride.
