Have you ever been unable to concentrate because you were hungry? Did you know there are students in Zionsville who are not able to purchase a lunch and/or extra items while at school?
LAP is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which has been created to address this need. The vision of LAP is to provide these students with an equal opportunity to purchase the equivalent of a school lunch, plus additional items, on a daily basis. Students also have the option of purchasing food during breakfast and/or after school, where offered. LAP is designed to work in conjunction with the existing meal assistance program offered by the ZCS Cafeterias. ZCS Cafeterias provide a variety of better choices to help students satisfy their daily nutritional needs.
It takes approximately $250 to sponsor one student per semester. Over 200 potential LAP recipients have already been confidentially identified. Please consider helping a student this semester with your tax-deductible gift.
