About the Friends of Boone County Trails

The Friends of Boone County Trails (FBCT) is a group of Boone County residents who promote the development of trailways in our community. The group meets regularly to discuss strategies for acquiring and developing land for trails, as well as to promote trail usage as a part of a healthy and active community.

FBCT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (a component fund of the Community Foundation of Boone County). The FBCT is part of a larger project, the Farm Heritage Trail Project. To find out complete details about this project and about the benefits of having trails in our community, visit the Farm Heritage Trail Project or the Greenways Foundation or IndianaTrails.com (the organization responsible for obtaining railroad land around Whitestown).

Note: the I-65 Bridge demolition will begin March 30, 2012. For your safety, please avoid using the trail near the Sam Ralston Road trailhead in Lebanon. You can access the trail best at Thorntown.
