ZLL Parents:

While the ground at Lion's Park is a bit soggy, the snow has melted, the batting cages are up, and teams are practicing in preparation forĀ our 2010 Little League season!

As we prepare for another fun season of little league softball and baseball, here are a couple of opportunities for you to help Zionsville Little League:

  1. ZLL's Opening Day is a signature event here in Zionsville as 750 players in colorful uniforms gather on Diamond #2 to celebrate little league and launch a new season. This year's Opening Day will be Saturday, April 17, 2010. We still are in need of a volunteer (or better yet 2-4 volunteers) to organize the Opening Day details. ZLL has a template and a check list. All we need is a volunteer (or volunteers) to get this festive day organized. If you are interested and available, please e-mail me at: bstan@iyi.org
  2. Your child's registration fee includes a jersey and a visor (softball) or hat (baseball). As you purchase pants, a belt and socks, please consider doing so through ZLL. The prices are lower than our local retail stores, and a portion of the sales go directly to ZLL which helps us keep the league registration fee as low as possible while we purchase equipment and maintain our playing fields.

Ask your child's manager about the color of pants and socks your team will be wearing. Then place your order at: https://www.em-roe.com/store5.aspx. Please place your order by March 28. Your merchandise will be available for pick-up at the Lion's Club clubhouse on Elm Street on April 10, 2010, from 10a- 2p.

Thank you for your consideration of these opportunities. See you at the park!
